Want to be crowned 2022 North Coast National Young Woman or Teen Showgirl?
Nominations are now open for the popular competitions, with the winner possibly representing the North Coast at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
The North Coast National Young Woman and Teen Showgirl Competitions provides an opportunity for young women to become involved in their local communities as rural ambassadors and to encourage and promote their local agricultural show.
Entrants are selected for their knowledge, presentation, passion for the agricultural show movement and their community spirit. The competition is no beauty contest nor an intelligence test. It is an award presented to young women who raise the profile of agricultural life and shows.
The award provides an opportunity to excel in leadership, public speaking, community involvement and confidence.
The winner will go on to represent the North Coast National at Zone 1 competing against other Zone 1 finalists, with two winners going on to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
The Young Woman competition is for those age 18-25 and Teen Showgirl for girls between 13 and 17.
Judging for the Young Woman Competition and Teen Showgirl will be held on Saturday, 15 October followed by a formal dinner that evening at 6pm venue to be confirmed.
